YOU GET WHAT YOU VOTE FOR

or, to put it another way…

YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW

“…. For whatever a man sows, this will he also reap.” Gal 6:7

In 2020 our country had a choice to make about how we wanted to move forward. Did we want to continue on the same path that President Donald Trump had forged for our country over the last four years? Or did we want to get back on the path forged by President Barak Obama during his eight years in office? Many people held such a disdain for Donald Trump because the mainstream media painted him with such a broad brush of negativity, that they couldn’t bring themselves to vote for him. They chose to vote AGAINST him by voting FOR Joe Biden, who would follow Obama’s path. However, Obama’s path had veered greatly to the liberal, progressive left over the four years since he had left office.  Some people chose to ignore this truth. And now, many of those people who voted for Biden are now beginning to see that they made the wrong choice. Unfortunately for our country, too many people believed what the mainstream media were telling them about Donald Trump instead of researching for themselves what he had accomplished in his four years as President of the United States. If they had done their homework, they would have been able to make a more educated choice when they voted. But now they are reaping what they sowed. And so is our country as a whole.

Let’s look at some of President Trump’s accomplishments, and then, some of President Biden’s Executive Orders that have undone these accomplishments and his proposals that will do the same. Unless otherwise indicated, the sources for the following information are:

President Trump’s Executive Order #13768: The purpose of this order was to direct executive departments and agencies to employ all lawful means to enforce the immigration laws of the United States. In addition:

He built over 400 miles of border walls. As a result, illegal crossings plummeted over 87 percent where the wall has been constructed.
He ended the dangerous practice of Catch-and-Release, which means that instead of aliens getting released into the United States pending future hearings never to be seen again, they are detained pending removal, and then ultimately returned to their home countries.

He entered into three historic asylum cooperation agreements with Honduras, El Salvador, and Guatemala to stop asylum fraud and resettle illegal migrants in third-party nations pending their asylum applications.
He entered into a historic partnership with Mexico, referred to as the “Migrant Protection Protocols,” to safely return asylum-seekers to Mexico while awaiting hearings in the United States

He deployed nearly 5,000 troops to the Southern border. In addition, Mexico deployed tens of thousands of their own soldiers and national guardsmen to secure their side of the US-Mexico border.

President Biden signed Executive Order #13993, revoking President Trump’s Executive Order #13768. Thus, he stopped construction of the border wall, allowing illegal traffic to flow through the holes, reinstated the "catch and release" policy that allows people to stay here pending their immigration hearings, for which they do not show up, and ended the "remain in Mexico" policy that required would-be asylum seekers to apply for U.S. asylum in Mexico. What’s more, those illegally in our country are being kept in close quarters, encouraging the spread of the Corona Virus. They are the being released into the United States, testing positive for the virus at a rate seven times higher than the U.S. population.

During the Trump administration, the United States became a net energy exporter for the first time in nearly 70 years. The United States was the number one producer of oil and natural gas in the world. President Trump approved the Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines and he opened up the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) in Alaska to oil and gas leasing. In 2020 the average US gasoline price per gallon, all grades, was around $2.26.

President Biden’s Executive Order #13990 revoked the permit for the Keystone XL pipeline, which eliminated about 11,000 jobs. This order also placed a temporary moratorium on all activities of the Federal Government relating to the implementation of the Coastal Plain Oil and Gas Leasing Program, as established by the Record of Decision signed August 17, 2020, in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. The average US gasoline price per gallon, all grades, is now $2.95 per gallon, well above the average during most of President Trump’s administration.

President Trump signed the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act – the largest tax reform package in history. As a result, more than 6 million American workers received wage increases, bonuses, and increased benefits thanks to the tax cuts. A typical family of four earning $75,000 received an income tax cut of more than $2,000 – slashing their tax bill in half. It doubled the standard deduction – making the first $24,000 earned by a married couple completely tax-free, doubled the child tax credit, virtually eliminated the unfair Estate Tax, or Death Tax, and cut the business tax rate from 35 percent – the highest in the developed world – all the way down to 21 percent. Since the passage of tax cuts, the share of total wealth held by the bottom half of households has increased, while the share held by the top 1 percent has decreased. Over 400 companies have announced bonuses, wage increases, new hires, or new investments in the United States. Over $1.5 trillion was repatriated into the United States from overseas. Lower investment cost and higher capital returns led to faster growth in the middle class, real wages, and international competitiveness.

President Biden’s proposed tax plan would raise the top individual federal income tax rate from 37% to 39.6%. Also, the corporate rate would rise from 21% to 28%; a 15% alternative minimum tax would apply to corporate book income of $100 million and higher; and individuals earning $400,000 or more would pay additional payroll taxes. Additionally, the estate tax exemption would drop by about 50%. https://www.investopedia.com/explaining-biden-s-tax-plan-5080766  (FYI – Increases in corporate tax rates get past on to the consumer. You will be affected!)

These are just a few of the changes the Biden administration has already enacted or plans to enact. The bottom line is: President Trump acted to benefit the American people. President Biden is undoing these benefits. The first link at the beginning of this article lists 34 pages of President Trump’s accomplishments. You may not be aware of these, most likely because the mainstream media was too busy telling us how bad President Trump was instead of telling us what he was doing for the American people. If you’re not aware, it is well worth your time to read them. Unfortunately, it’s too late for you to change your mind about who you voted for. If you do have Election 2020 voter’s remorse, then we strongly advise you to do your homework before the next election. There are plenty of websites that will give you the facts. Take the time to find them so you can make your best choice. The future of the United States of America depends on our choosing what’s best for OUR COUNTRY –

A CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC OF THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE, AND FOR THE PEOPLE.
