LIFE: WHAT ABOUT IT?
What Fills?
What fills your days and your nights? Is it work? Is it intellectualism? Is it fun and games? Stop for a minute and think about it: are you consciously aware, daily, that something or someone fills your days and nights? You say you have to make a living and this is true. You say you have to take care of your family and this is also true. But what fills your days and nights? What really fills you?
What gives you reason to work and to care and to play?
Motivation
Motivation is something within us that causes us to some action. It is an intangible force which causes us to move or keeps us from moving. Motivation is not something we can see or touch: it is unmoved by any of the senses. It goes much deeper. It can be influenced by other people and by circumstances. In its proper position, motivation can be that stimulus which leads a person to do the ordinary or to do the extraordinary. What motivates you? Is it success? Is it fear of failure? Is it fear of success? Is it responsibility?
The meaning of life has become so distorted, that we no longer look at life with an eternal end in sight. You know, God did a wonderful, miraculous, loving thing when He placed eternity within the heart of His mankind. Ecclesiastes 3:11 states: "He has made everything beautiful in its time." He also has planted eternity in men's hearts and minds [a divinely implanted sense of a purpose working through the ages which nothing under the sun but God alone can satisfy], yet so that man cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end."*
Do you realize that if God had not done this, we would never even begin to search for meaning in life. Our search for our Creator would never begin. How we have taken and do take His Love for granted. How we fail to see the greatness of His Love.
If we are not motivated by our God and Savior, then our motivation is coming from the wrong source. When we allow our motivation to be success or fear or obligation or responsibility...or anything else but God..., we lose the eternal value of what we tritely call "life". We move in "self."
If we were to allow ourselves to remain aware each day, of the eternity that is to belong to each one of us, as well as to each one we see, we might realize there is more to life than the shallow things we allow to motivate us. The most unimportant things upset us. We speak harshly and unlovingly over something that won't even matter 100 years from now. In many cases it won't even matter one day from now. But do we care that those around us are going to hell because they don't know Jesus? Do we allow it to "upset" us? Does it break our heart that a stranger or a loved one will go to their eternal hell?
We believe that as soon as we are born, we begin the journey to find that part of us that is missing. We don't know who it is or why we feel as we do. We just know there is a part missing. We finally realize what we are searching for is love. It is looked for in all the wrong places and ways. Homosexuality is one way, prostitution is a way, adultery is a way...the search can take many avenues. But the ultimate goal is always the same...to find the one who will love us and never leave us alone. The One Who can and does fill this void within mankind is Jesus Christ. Without connection and communion with Creator Lord, it will be a search with hell for its end.
Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you each day which people with whom you come into contact would go to hell if they died right then!
What motivates you?
Do you know the times in which you live?
Knowing The Times
To know the times in which we live, means we care about our fellow pilgrims upon this Earth. It means we understand that our days are numbered by the Lord. We were neither born, nor will we die, as a fluke! God knew us when we were in our mother's womb. How can we get so excited about the ingathering of believers, and not care a breath, much less an action, for those who do not know Christ?
This is a question!
What is your answer?
From The Bridegroom
From the Holy Spirit in 1985: "the straight pathway is the heart... I will make the pathway level where it is to be level." We tend to look for the easy way out. God wants us to know that He has ALL our life in His Capable Hands. We have been conditioned, even taught, that we are to have everything easy. When something gets rough, we wonder what happened! God WILL use everything we encounter to build Himself up IN US--but we have to allow Him to do it!
On April 4, 1995 the Holy Spirit spoke, "Prepare the hearts for the return of the Messiah." How do we do that? Try starting at the beginning!
As inspired by the Holy Spirit, the disciple Mark wrote: "The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. As it is written in Isaiah the prophet, ‘Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, who will prepare Your way; the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make ready the way of the Lord, make His paths straight.' John the Baptist appeared in the wilderness preaching a baptism of REPENTANCE for the forgiveness of sins." (Mark 1: 1-3)
The call of God's Spirit is the same today. We prepare ourselves by the baptism of repentance.
The problem with the majority of Christians today is that we do not see ourselves in need of repentance! Yes, Jesus did separate our sins from our connection with our Father. The problem is that we Christians have failed to separate our sins from our lives! Does the church need revival? Yes! Of course it does! But first of all the church needs REPENTANCE!
God's Chosen People
"Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: May they prosper who love you. May peace be within your walls, and prosperity within your palaces. For the sake of my brothers and my friends, I will now say, ‘May peace be within you.' For the sake of the house of the LORD our God I will seek your good."(Psalm 122:6-9)
"For Zion's sake I will not keep silent, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not keep quiet, until her righteousness goes forth like brightness, and her salvation like a torch that is burning." (Isaiah 62:1)
Have you ever wondered why there is a time of remembrance each year for the victims of the holocaust? There is a very valid reason for this. We tend to forget the past and push it aside in our thought process. We say, "We can't change the past". While this is certainly true, the point is that we want to change the future! Just because we live in the 90's does not mean that society can't go backwards and live and move in the hate and prejudices of the 1930's and 1940's. Antisemitism is as alive and well today as it was fifty and sixty years ago. Oh, it wears a different "dressing", but it is still alive.
It is important to remember the past so we can be observant to the present. In so being, we can be alert to the dangers for the future. History does tend to repeat itself. It is a sad indictment against humanity that we never seem to learn from our past. We must remember the days of the Holocaust. We must remember how quickly our lives can change. We must remember how quickly life can end! If you think there is no anti-Semitism today, then you have believed the lie of satan. God's enemies have many faces. Unfortunately, many of those faces are in the "church". Look in the mirror, and see if you see the face of an antisemitic, church-going person. If you do, Jehovah God is able to change your heart, if you will but give Him the opportunity to do so.
We share the following:
"A Rabbi who has faithfully studied and taught Jewish prayers, was challenged with these scriptures and became more attentive to their formulated prayers which are mainly from the Psalms. One day in synagogue, as the Cantor was going through the prayer from Psalms 115 for that day/time, and as he recited verses 9, 10, and 11.: 9. O house of Israel, trust in the LORD--He is their help and shield...10. O house of Aaron, trust in the LORD--He is their help and shield...11. You who fear him, trust in the LORD--He is their help and shield."
"He was gripped with a challenge? Who is verse 11 referring to? The whole of the Jewish nation is covered by verses 9 and 10. Who can these others be that fear the Lord--These that trust the God of Israel? Who are these others whom the God of Israel helps?"
"In true scholarly fashion he read the Psalm again! Those among the heathen and nations other than Israel, fear the Lord. The context of the whole Psalm testifies to this! He began a renewed study of all their prayers and what did he find? In more than 40% of their prayers there is this recurrence of prayers for those among the nations that fear the Lord."
"He said to me, ‘It took me 60 years to find out that a large proportion of our prayers over the centuries have been for you people-- the Christians.' "
"What a Revelation! Although we know that some Christians over the centuries have been praying for the Jewish people, in our generation there has been such a rise in interest and prayer by Christians for Israel, that it is indeed humbling to find out that the ones we are praying for have been praying REGULARLY for us for centuries!!"
"No Room For Pride. Is our awareness to pray for Israel in some way a response to the prayers of the faithful among the Jewish people? The thought that 40% of their prayers during the Holocaust was for the Church of Jesus Christ when ‘Christians' were annihilating them! What a debt we owe them! As debtors, our failure to pray for Israel in these desperate times is nothing but unthankfulness or sheer ignorance." Taken from International Christian Embassy, Jerusalem, Prayer Letter--July/August, 1996.
Look At Current Events
This newsletter is not based on politics. But it IS based on Truth. For that reason, we have felt to share the following: With so much going on in the United States of America this presidential election year, we would like to point out a few things of importance. 1. If you vote for the man, by default you vote for the platform of his party . 2. Whoever becomes the next president of the United States will most likely have the responsibility of naming a new Supreme Court Justice. This is a major item! If a liberal is president, a liberal will probably be chosen. If a conservative is president, most likely a conservative will be chosen. The office of Supreme Court Justice is one of great power in this country. Do not take this issue lightly. 3. If a liberal is in the office of president again, there will be no holes barred for liberalism. The first four years a president is in office, he has to look forward to the next election. Therefore, some of his goals must be tempered. Once re-elected, however, the field is wide open for him to do whatever he wants, with no concern for election consequences.
It is your RESPONSIBILITY to seek God's Will in this matter! It is also your PRIVILEGE! Do not neglect your privilege!
Go to Him in fervent prayer, seeking His Truth and Purpose for your vote.
Bottom Line
The only difference between life and death is a breath. The difference between eternal life and eternal death is just that: a breath! "Eternal" is not just a word. It is a place of being that we shall all one day share. Do you care that you or those you know may enter eternal death?
The bottom line is LIFE or DEATH!
Choice
Life is made up of choices. So is death. We actually can choose to go to hell by choosing against God. He has placed the Gift of His Son before mankind. Mankind need not wander. Mankind need not be alone. Jesus loves YOU! He died for YOU! He rose for YOU! He ascended for YOU! Reach out to Jesus now. He's God's Son, sent for YOU! If you had been the only human left on earth, God still would have sent His Son for YOU! Accept His Gift of Life Eternal. Accept His birth, life, deaths and ascension. He gave His Life willingly that you might have Life. Confess to Him that you are a sinner in need of His Precious Gift of Love. Ask Him to save you, to forgive you, to fill you with His Holy Spirit and to help you in every way. He will...because that's why He came and died and rose: to give you Life Abundant!
In the Precious Name of Jesus, be blessed!

Blessed Is He Who Comes In The Name Of The Lord!
