FAITHFULNESS

I am constantly impressed with the Faithfulness of our God. From all around there are forces of satan at work, trying to pull us away from our God: voices that would have us believe that He is not a Faithful Father. The voices are but polluted air that swirls around, not knowing its end. My very existence is my proof that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is a Faithful God. He is Faithful in the big things and Faithful in what man would probably call the little things, or things that don't count.
 

I heard a preacher several years ago state that he had heard of people asking God what color their new car should be. He said God didn't care about the color of our car, that He doesn't have time to be bothered with things like that, that we are just like "ants running around" as far as God is concerned about the "mundane" things in our lives. It made me sad to realize that people would hear this preacher and believe that what he stated was true. It was even sadder to me that as far as this preacher viewed God, this was indeed true! I believe it to be fact that we cannot give out what we do not possess within. If, in our attempts to express what we think we "know" about God, we place restrictions on Him, then we very possibly shut off an avenue which God would use to teach us and to bless us and others.

I wonder about the limited view that some people seem to have of Almighty God. Is He so small that He cannot, or will not, hear the smallest request? Is His attentiveness to His created so conditional that we must measure each need we request to see if it measures up to a certain standard that is set by a finite created being? I do not think that the Uncreated, Forever-Existing God needs to be told by His created beings what He will and will not do! It seems rather presumptuous, don't you think? How dare humanity, in the Name of God, limit its God Creator! Our arrogance knows no bounds!

It is, however, unfair to assume that all who would tell of God's "limits" are doing so as a result of arrogance. As stated previously, what is not within cannot be extended or expressed to others, for there is no experiential source from which to draw. Our God IS a Faithful God. An example of His Faithfulness is just in the fact that He allows us to still stand even when we are deliberately arrogant toward Him and about Him!

God's Faithfulness extends beyond what we can see and His grace extends beyond what we think we need. There are no bounds to His Faithfulness and Grace! Our faith needs to extend further than the end of our nose! Then we might realize just how great is the Faithfulness of our God!

I have been guilty of putting God's ability, or concern over us, into pre-measured packaging! I had believed the "experts". I remember making fun of people (in my thoughts) who said God helps them find a parking place when they go shopping; those who said He helped them shop and had things on sale were targets of special ridicule (in my thoughts) from me. I never said anything to anyone out loud. My sins were well concealed within my mind. Of so I thought!
 

Praise God for His Faithfulness of Grace toward this sinner! He began to show me, in my personal experiences, what all He would do with me and for me if I would but let Him out of the "box" into which I had placed Him. God's Faithfulness on my behalf was "limited" only by my self-imposed constraint of unbelief! He is not a limited God. He is the Unlimited God of the Universe, Creator of all that is! I am the one who is limited! I would be overwhelmed with shame were it not constrained by His Faithfulness of Love and Grace!
 

If, within the confines of our own faithfulness toward Him, we are allowed to be an extension of His great Love, then He will truly have blessed us with a most precious gift. For one of His creations to touch the life of another of His creations, through the Power and Love of the Creator, is a miraculous act of His Love extended to both: a Love that transcends all logic, all explanation; a Love that transcends all that is not Himself!

Our Loving, Limitless God our Saviour has manifested His Love to us in such abundance that our hearts are full to overflowing with His Presence. May we say with the psalmist "I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever; With my mouth will I make known Your Faithfulness to all generations." (Psalm 89:1) I wonder what restrains us humans from accepting the Love and Faithfulness that God directs toward humanity. Sometimes it appears that we do not want His Love and Faithfulness. Why do we give that appearance? Is it just a camouflaged performance or is it something that is rooted in the depths of our being?

Possibly our perception of God's Love and Faithfulness is marred by our experiences of the failed love and faithlessness of our fellow humans. Our inability to view the possibility of the reality of this Truth of Faithfulness and Love is deep-seated and requires that we "allow" God to reveal Himself to us. All of creation speaks of Him! It shouts with beauty and majesty, wonders of such profoundness that definition by the human mind is not possible! In the acts of deception that satan perpetrates upon humanity, a poison is spewed out upon the minds of the children of the Creator. The venomous information with which he assaults humanity acts as a virus which invades the deepest part of our being. He infiltrates our lives and, through the poison that he has spread, renders us seemingly helpless to receive the Truth which God wants to set before His creation.

As the Spirit of God is constantly wooing us, beseeching us to come to the Father of our being, the enemy of Light is pelting our souls with his ammunition of evil. He would have the creation of God believe that we are not important to our Creator, that He cares not for even one.

May the Fire of the Holy Spirit in our lives consume all of our impurities and burn within us as we seek to offer the exposure of the Light of Christ to a world living within the clutches of an awesome, terrifying and permanent darkness.

May the experience of the life we lead be a torch that will lift You high O God, that Your Light may be spread over all we meet, as a Blanket of Forgiveness, Mercy, Compassion and Grace that will cover and heal the hurting.

Look At Current Events

As I look at the news or read articles on the Internet, one thing looms as a giant force: death and destruction lay all around us. Whether this death and destruction is from volcanoes, floods, fires, earthquakes, winds or tornadoes is unimportant. The important thing is that we SEE His Faithfulness as humanity races towards the end of the world.

God’s Chosen People

We who are disciples of Christ are given a call like unto no other. We are called to be intercessors on behalf of His Chosen People. We are called to stand against anti-Semitism every where we find it. We are called to be watchmen:

For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth. Choice

"The souls of many are turned against Me. Some of them don't understand what they are doing. Others don't care but think they understand the final-ness of time. Is destruction the only wake-up call people can or will understand? I fear they have made an eternal misunderstanding in their souls. The world is racing toward one thing: "decision". All of life is about one thing: "decision". All of death is about one thing, "decision". All compromises, all stands, all relationships...are about one thing: "decision".

You may, at this point, be asking "How?" It is really quite simple and yet profound: it is the Eternal that is the only important aspect of what we now call "life". Most of humanity seems bent toward living forever and finding a way to accomplish that goal. Living forever, has, in fact, been a reality since the beginning of what we call "time".

Yes, you will live forever... That is not the question. The question is: "Where?" God has provided the Answer and the Result: He sent His Son to die for your sins. When you accept the Life and Death of Jesus as your personal redemption, you will be accepting..."Eternal LIFE!"

If you do not choose Life with Jesus, you will be choosing..."Eternal Death!"

The Provision for Life is there. It is your "decision". Accept it and enjoy a personal love relationship with the One Who died so that you might live! He will be your Savior, your Lord, your Bridegroom...your Friend. Say "Yes" to Jesus and make a

"LIFE DECISION!"

Admit to Him you are a sinner. Tell Him you need His Redemption. Ask Him to forgive you of your sin. Ask Him to come into your heart and dwell there. Invite Him to fill you with His Holy Spirit. Love Him...and allow Him to love you!
