DEADLINES

As I sit down and try to begin the newsletter for November, I find myself wondering what to write. It is the 13th of the month and I don't have a clue as to what to write. My mind tells me I've got to get started. I do have a deadline to meet. My emotions tell me I need to start worrying because I don't know what to write. My will says "I must get the newsletter going because it is getting late and I WILL DO IT!"

When I look within myself, I find that I think I am late. When I look within myself, I see a need to worry. When I look within myself, I see my will asserting itself. But then, as I pause, I realize what is happening. As I look at the things I am being told, by my mind, by my emotions and by my will, I realize all of them are coming to me from the wrong source...myself! I cannot pick a subject for the newsletter. I cannot assert my will to make something happen. I cannot make things come together by worrying. For "myself" cannot be the source who picks the topic and writes the words. My Source, always and only, must be the Holy Spirit.

I struggle within myself because I am one who likes things done in advance of a deadline. It is hard to sit back and wait for what I perceive to be the "last minute" to do something. I struggle within myself because I want things finished so I don't have to worry about them. I struggle within myself because I want to be responsible in doing what needs to be done.

I have just counted over 30 "I"s in the above paragraphs. Therein lies the problem. I am giving myself too much attention instead of giving my attention to God's Spirit to guide and direct me in all things. It is a constant battle: self vs. God! Yes, constant!

I find that the hardest thing God's Spirit has to contend within me is my "self". The saying "I am my own worst enemy" is actually very true! When I get in God's Way, I am most assuredly my own worst enemy!

Phase Two

It is now the 27th of October and here I sit. But I do not worry because He has a purpose in all things...even if I get to the end of the month, it is still in His Hands. This particular lesson regarding deadlines is something that the Lord is using in my life right now...in this very minute...to teach me more about Himself.

What is God using in your life right now to teach you more about Himself? He never just "spins His wheels". He always has a purpose for the events He allows in our lives. What lesson is before you now? What instrument is being used in the Hands of Almighty God to increase your personal relationship with your Lord?

Spend time with the Lord and seek His Wisdom. He will show you all He desires you to know at this time. Just give Him opportunity to do so. As painful as some lessons can be, and many times are, the Glory of the Lord's Presence in your life will bless you so abundantly that He will show you Himself through the pain. He holds your heart in His Loving Hands and He wants only good for you...His Time and His Way...! So give Him the time and allow Him to have His Way. You'll never regret it! He loves you! You can trust that Love!

God's Chosen People

Hitler is probably the most well known perpetrator of anti-Semitism. But there are many who have committed the same "sin" of antisemitism. It is a constant and unchanging part of humanity. Satan always seeks to destroy what belongs to God.

We who profess to be Christians MUST stand against antisemitism whenever we see or hear it. If we don't, then others will assume that we are anti-semitic also and agree with such views. Stand up and be counted for the Word of God concerning His Chosen People.

Look At Current Events

The stock market is on a roller coaster ride. It is a global effection! For those who think we are not headed for the "New World Order", look and think again! All it takes is to sit down and carefully and prayerfully consider the news events of the past week or so as relates to the stock market. It is as good an example as I know for current proof of the NWO coming in to being right in front of our eyes. Wake up America...the time is short!

Bottom Line

The bottom line for this newsletter is:

What He is using right NOW in your life, is the very minute you are in! No matter--good or bad--in God, Sovereign in and over all, whatever the day brings is what He is using!

Choice

The choice is God or satan: eternity in heaven or hell, good vs. evil. It really isn't complicated! Oh, satan would have us think it complicated. But he is a liar and the father of lies.

God is Truth and the Father of Truth.

Accept Christ in God and choose good over evil, heaven over hell, God over satan.
​Choose Life eternal.

Accept satan and his lies and choose evil over good, hell over heaven, satan over God. Choose death eternal.

The choice really is yours!

Invitation

The invitation of Christ is placed before all mankind. Confess to God that you know you are a sinner deserving of death. Ask Him to forgive your sins. Accept His Gift of Eternal Life through the acceptance of His Son Jesus Christ. Ask Him to come indwell you with the Presence of His Holy Spirit. Ask Him to rule and reign in your life...and receive Life...
